Cabin Leader

Requirements

  • Completed 11th grade by summer 2023

  • A desire to grow and learn professional and leadership skills

  • A willingness to take the lifeguard certification class

  • A clear understanding of servant leadership and a desire to invest in guests and campers

​

Responsibilities

  • Attend pre-camp training in May and weekly inservice

  • Lead a cabin of up to 12 campers, along with a co-cabin leader

  • Supervise campers while at the assigned rotation each afternoon

  • Lead or assist a Camper's Choice activity each morning

  • Lead campers in daily Bible study

  • Coordinate cabin cleaning each week

  • Be a spiritual mentor for campers

  • Lead devotions each night before bed

  • Understand risk management and work with the entire staff to keep camp safe

  • Assume other responsibilities as assigned by administrative staff

(June only)

Support Staff

Requirements

  • Completed 11th grade by summer 2023

  • A desire to grow and learn professional and leadership skills

  • A willingness to learn and demonstrate good stage presence

  • A clear understanding of servant leadership and a desire to invest in guests and campers

  • A willingness to travel and stay in multiple locations over the summer

 

Responsibilities

  • Attend pre-camp training in May and weekly inservice

  • Assist in the "behind the scenes" of running camp:

    • Aid kitchen staff in meal prep and service​

    • Help set up and maintain program areas with lifeguards and rec team.

    • Assist in keeping lodges clean and ready for each group who spends time at WorldSong.

  • Other additional camp projects as needed

Rec Team & Lifeguards

Requirements

  • Completed 11th grade by summer 2023

  • A desire to grow and learn professional and leadership skills

  • A willingness to take the lifeguard certification class

  • A clear understanding of servant leadership and a desire to invest in guests and campers

​

Responsibilities

  • Attend pre-camp training in May and weekly inservice

  • Work with team to clean and sanitize all rec areas and main campus buildings

  • Supervise campers while swimming at the pool and canoeing at the lake

  • Lead groups through team building experiences including low ropes, pioneer build and rec games

  • Lead groups through outdoor cooking and craft experiences

  • Set campfires and maintain trails

  • Assist rec coordinator in filling water coolers and other rec related projects

  • Assist in keeping lodges clean and ready for each group who spends time at WorldSong.

  • Other additional camp projects as needed
