Cabin Leader Job Description
• Complete online training prior to arrival at WorldSong
• Participate in pre-camp training week and other advanced training opportunities
• Be prompt and on time for all scheduled activities and events
• Attend all staff meetings
• Assist with registration set-up and process
• Serve as a leader of a cabin group and provide 24 hour supervision for up to 12 campers
• Assist in decorating the cabin meeting room
• Work with you co-cabin leader to come up with a theme and decorate your cabin room
• Inform campers of schedule, procedures, and expectations
• Lead campers in individual and group activities
• Coordinate cabin cleaning each week
• Clean cabin each weekend for next group before leaving
• Serve as a Bible teacher for your cabin
• Lead in cabin devotions each night
• Guide, counsel, and lead campers into meaningful spiritual experiences
• Lead or assist in a Camper’s Choice activity for three hours during the morning
• Work with a rotation team (Adventure Rec, Lifeguard, or Culture Camp) for three hours during the afternoon
• Serve as needed each night in Feature Night activities
• Review camper information sheets and spend time in prayer over each camper before their arrival (Making note of special needs, allergies, etc)
• Submit Incident reports and Behavior Forms to admin when necessary
• Plan and lead recreation for your cabin when necessary
• Participate enthusiastically in all camp activities
• Responsible for making sure campers leave on Friday with all they arrived with and acquired while at camp
• Report any maintenance or facility issues to admin
• Understand risk management and work with the entire staff to keep camp safe
• Assume other responsibilities as assigned by administrative staff
